Hippies, layabouts and the wasted youth.

I don't many hippies that are up at 5 a.m. because they're too excited to sleep, but alas, here we are. I finally got to move all of our winter clearance to the sale room (check back later for my top sale picks!), and today I'm going full swing into spring.

I think we're all dying for a taste of summer, so I'm dedicating this post to the upcoming warm weather and to my fave local blogger, Miss Carly of teacupsandbubblebaths. Her newest post had me flipping over navaho-inspired leather belts, cozy sweaters, and white western dresses.

An ode to a seventies summer (and oh yeah, everything you see is available at Flavour - come by and check out the new ladies section today!)

Peterborough Needs PCVS!

By now word has gotten around about the possible closure of one of Peterboroughs high schools. Unfortunately, PCVS and TAS are on the chopping block and time is running out to save our schools.

PCVS is so close to the heart of downtown (geographically and figuratively). Downtown stores, cafes and restaurants depend on the students to stay alive. But more importantly, downtown benefits from the amazing energy that PCVS students inject into our community. They help to create a fresh, constantly changing environment in which art, music, sports, fashion and theatre thrive.

And you can help.

Go to Facebook and LIKE.

Attend the council meetings on April 7th at 6:30 pm at Adam Scott, and May 12th at PCVS.

Look here for more information.

Or you can join the Flavour X PCVS Street Team and poster-bomb the streets! We will be spreading awareness through our poster campaign until our voices are heard. Email us at jess@flavourfashion.ca to help.

Feature Length Girl Talk Music Video looks amazing.

Girl Walk // All Day from jacob krupnick on Vimeo.

Back in 2009, New York art photographer Jacob Krupnick landed the job of shooting a promotional video for a foodwear show & turned to Craigslist for good dancers. Offering to pay in pizza.

Nearly two years later, Krupnick's project has evolved into "an epic 71-minute-long dance-music video" that features each of the 373 songs on Girl Talk's latest mash-up album. Starring one-time ballet dancer Anne Marsen, the video will show Marsen and other dancers moving to Girl Talk while making their way up Manhattan.

Due out this summer, the trailer gained fame on the internet in January and is well on its way to earning nearly triple the original budget through donations on the website Kickstarter. And you can see why.
