Nixon Watches Auctioned off for Big Brother's & Big Sister's

Mike Watt & Jess Russell presenting Darlene Evens with Flavour's donation to Big Brother's & Big Sister's of Peterborough

Back in January, Flavour was broken into and burglarized of a slew of Nixon Watches. Thankfully with the help of the downtown community and the Peterborough & Lakefield Police force, we were able to have our stolen merchandise returned.  We thought this would be a perfect opportunity to turn a bad situation into a good one by auctioning off all the recovered watches in an effort to raise money for Big Brother's & Big Sister's of Peterborough; a great program that aids at risk youth by offering them a positive role model.

We're proud to announce that we were able to raise just over $1400 in support of Big Brother's & Big Sister's of Peterborough!

Big Brother's & Big Sister's Inc is always in need of more positive role models to help out.

If you or someone you know would like to be a Big Brother or Big Sister please go to their official website & contact them!  www.peterboroughbigs.com

Recovered NIXON Watches up for AUCTION!

Recovered Nixon 51-30 up for auction here.
See all the other auctions here.

As I’m sure you’re aware, our store was burglarized this past January for a bunch of Nixon watches.

Our story became highly publicized with the help of our amazing friends and customers, but without you, the local media, and the indisputable power of Twitter and Facebook, we never could have caught the two young men. With the dedicated help of the Peterborough-Lakefield Police, we were even able to recover some of the stolen watches.

Thankfully, our story has a happy ending, which got us to thinking – beyond our sincerest thanks, how can we turn this into a positive experience and give back to the city that has always supported us? Nixon watches are a hot commodity in the action sports and street wear world, not only for their incredible durability but their innovative design (you can learn more about them at www.nixonnow.com), so we thought there must be someone else who could benefit from the sale of the recovered watches.

We’ve joined up with the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Association of Peterborough to auction off the Nixon watches, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to our local branch. The auction will be held for 10 days EBAY via our website (where you are now!) beginning today & ending in June 14th.

The watches range from sporty to business, and could make a great Father’s Day gift, graduation gift, an incentive from their employers or just a cool addition to your own collection! All watches have the original boxes and range in retail values from $450 to $550.00. We are kindly asking for your help is spreading the word about this auction by posting it on your facebook page, blog, websites, Twitter etc. Please take the time to click the banner above & spread the word, or bid if you'd like!  :)

As always, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your continued support and please contact us if you have any questions through email (info@flavourfashion.ca)

Sincerely,
Jess Russell & Mike Watt
